London 1263 – 2013

Not much turnout for the reenactment of the demonstration against Queen Eleanor in July 1263. Perhaps all the excitement about the soon-to-be newborn at Buckingham Palace has Londoners feeling a bit more charitable about the royal family these days. Interestingly, the one barge that did approach the bridge once I got into position immediately reversed engines and turned back.

  1. Hello – very interesting site. I’m leading a University of 3rd Age short course on Magna Carta locally and will recommend people have a look.

Also interested to see your theatrical links. I lived in Berlin 1983 – 85 and had several Czech friends – visited Ostrava area in ’85.

    Best wishes

    1. Hi David, thanks for the comments and support. You would not believe Ostrava today compared to ’85, but I guess the same could be said of Berlin, even New York for that matter. Nostalgia is in huge demand around here. My latest play goes back to this time, hope to get a synopsis of it up soon. Best, Darren
